My wife held a position of visiting scholar at Columbia University Graduate School of Architecture this semester. So, in the end, I went to get her back :0)
She planned for a weekend in the Catskill Mountains, upstate New York, to rest from the vibrant life in the Harlem; a drive trough Frank Lloyd Wright ‘s Falling Water, house far West in Pennsylvania, and more three days in Washington for museums and sight seeing.
I flew through Madrid in the 4th of June and we got back in 12th through London. Here follows some of the highlights of contemplative moments.
In this weekend in Madrid we witnessed a hilarious scene. In Prado Museum there was a temporary exhibition of some paintings by Tiziano (Ticiano in Spanish and Portuguese) . A few versions of Saint John the Baptist. When we were coming out of the room there was a father and a son , about five years old, coming in. The father was saying to the kid: “Ahora vamos a ver Ticiano”(Now we will see Ticiano)… The son asked hopefully excited: “Ticiano Ronaldo?!…” The father sadly simply answered”no”…
