london calling, june 1997

Most of the time i spend in london was spent at the RIBA library and drawings collection. i studied the more than thirty andrea palladio’s architectural drawings. the city seems itself out of palladio’s mind. outside i strolled and wandered inside that special mix of charm and discrete arrogance of its architecture. june in london was equivalent to april in lisbon: ocasional showers almost everyday, some days pretty warm, others windy and chilled. more than ten years ago, london looked as a city for young women discretly posing for an invisible camara. it was also stunning how could 6 million people have beans for brekfast every morning and get into the tube…
